The National Generators Forum represents Australia’s electricity generators, the businesses which keep Australia’s lights on.

Vision

The NGF’s vision is to be the respected market generator industry body recognised for effectiveness and excellence in influencing the development of Australian energy markets.

About NGF

The National Generators Forum is the national industry association representing Australia's leading government and private owned electricity generators.  NGF member companies own over 60% of installed generation capacity and operate all generation technologies across all States, including coal-fired, plant, gas fired plant, hydroelectric plant and wind farms.

NGF members support efficient, competitive markets. Competition delivers the best possible value for Australia’s electricity customers. Since its inception in 1998, the National Electricity Market has seen the wholesale price of electricity fall in real terms in all States. These gains are now at risk from poor public policy.

NGF members are responding to the huge economic and social challenge of addressing climate change. Members are at the forefront in Australia of developing and deploying new, low emission technologies. Read more.
